Just got a call from a company for ca. that told me that My ARM loan of 8.2 is a predatory loan and could get my mortgage company , who refuses to refinance the loan, get the loan down from the 190000. that we owe, to 129,000. They said they will do it for 750.00. Is this a scam? They said it was 100 % money back if they couldn’t get us done. They also said it would take up to 120, but likely to be 90 days from start to finish. Pleas let us know what you thind
Don’t pay ANY company upfront…there’s the first red flag. I would recommend contacting your mortgage company directly and initiating another loan modification. Contact a HUD councilor and ask them to review the offer.
