What is a Mortgage Audit?

What is a Mortgage Audit?

Also called a Forensic Loan Audit, a Mortgage Audit is where an qualified expert combs through your mortgage documents that you signed when either buying or refinancing your home.

Often times we are able to determine unlawful charges in origination that may be violation of Truth in Lending Laws (TILA) or the Real Estate Settlements and Procedures Act (RESPA) by determining discrepancies in the Good Faith Estimate and Predisclosures of your loan.

Or perhaps you are one of the 60 million borrowers with Mortgage Electronic Registration Services, Inc. (MERS) named in your loan as a Mortgagee in “Nominee”. This is unlawful and any Foreclosure attempt made by almost any company posing as your “Lender” is open to debate if MERS has any connection to the loan.

Call anytime to discuss your loan. (207)400-4413.

*This is not legal advice, we have a network of attorneys to refer you when you need Legal Action.
